Description
Summary:The demand for mobile broadband services by users has grown continuously and at an exponential rate, leading operators to constantly invest in increasing capacity supported by mobile networks. Thus, mobile operators are adopting the use of macrocells in order to meet the needs of users. This solution introduces some problems in terms of interference, thus compromising the overall performance of the network and limiting its capacity. Thus, simulations will be carried out for different network configurations in order to understand the throughput impact on existing OFDMA system and the advantage of using interference mitigation methods. As low-cost networks are currently also a requirement, a financial analysis will be carried out to understand the advantage that macrocells introduce. Thus, the results obtained allow us to verify that macrocells are an asset for networks with demanding QoS levels, as they are high-capacity networks.
