Summary:A method is proposed for determining the authenticity of digital color images by forming a marker based on a linear bar code of EAN symbolism. Such a label can be read by standard hardware/software and/or software methods. The formation of a marker based on the image histogram is considered. Due to the redistribution of brightness in a limited tonal range, the histogram section takes the form of a bar code. Due to the visual redundancy of the images, the changes made are invisible when viewing the images. The label can be introduced into the color channel of the image or into the selected spatial region of the channel, which makes it impossible to determine its presence by analyzing the brightness distribution of the image as a whole. The proposed method is sensitive to image transformations and corrections, which allows using it to confirm the originality of the image.
