Description
Summary:This paper is devoted to theoretical modeling of the effective elastic properties of rock samples of Domanic deposits. Effective medium theory methods have been used to determine the effective elastic properties of the rocks depending on their composition and morphological characteristics. The objective was to determine the microstructure parameters of the investigated rock samples, to develop a seismic–geological model, and to calculate the reflection coefficients for it. The major attention has been paid to the influence of the kerogen content and maturity degree (porosity) on the measured physical values (the elastic wave velocity and reflection coefficient).
