Summary:The article refers to the need of increasing the importance given to Education for Sustainable Development. It is a necessary step recognized at the international level. Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility are part of the company's strategy education and organization, being necessary to practice an integrated management. It is necessary to be open to lifelong learning and to self-education of the learning process, which forms and develops the competencies of the educated (pupil, student, etc.) of effective learning/self-learning throughout life. The dimensions of sustainable development and the role/influences of sustainability science in the educational context are presented.
