Description
Summary:Pinto EF, Brito ATS, Nunes RG, Paz NH, Sousa VHLB, Paz CR, Cirilo-Sousa MS. The Effect of Training Without Blood Flow Restriction and With Blood Flow Restriction on Different Physical Components During a Detraining Period: A Systematic Review. JEPonline 2023;26(1):31-39. This study critically reviewed the effect of post-training with and without blood flow restriction in different populations. A literature search of the following databases, PubMed, Scielo, Web of Science, Science Direct, Cochrane, and Google Scholar was carried out using the keywords post-training detraining with blood flow restriction or post-training detraining with vascular occlusion. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, two researchers independently and blindly selected the studies. If there were divergences, a third researcher would participate in this phase of the study. The electronic search found 22 published papers. After screening, 8 studies showed the effect of training in programs with and without blood flow restriction. The results of this study showed that the effect of training with and without blood flow restriction must be evaluated in terms of many variables and not only the time of retraining. Key Words: Aerobic Training, Anaerobic Aerobic Training, Muscle Strength, Off-Training
