Ischemic heart disease in correlation with some immunological parameters
Sixty five Ischemic heart disease (IHD) patients and 25 healthy control were included in this work. 90.7% hypertensive patients and 66% of patients were with diabetes. Serum samples were tested for interleukin-17A (IL-17A), interleukin-17A Receptor (IL-17AR) and interleukin-12/23p40 (IL-12/23p40) us...

Summary: | Sixty five Ischemic heart disease (IHD) patients and 25 healthy control were included in this work. 90.7% hypertensive patients and 66% of patients were with diabetes. Serum samples were tested for interleukin-17A (IL-17A), interleukin-17A Receptor (IL-17AR) and interleukin-12/23p40 (IL-12/23p40) using Sandwich ELISA technique, Mean serum levels as compared to healthy of 17A, IL-17AR and IL-12/23p40 were 57.5±2.6 pg/ml, 37.3±5.1 pg/ml and 301±43.3 pg/ml compared to healthy control groups 11.7±1.7pg/ml, 7.3±1.0pg/ml and 10.4±3.6pg/ml respectively. It could be concluded that the prevalence of IHD in a diabetic patients is higher than control, IL-17A, IL-17AR and IL-12/23p40 have a role in diagnosis, and IL-12 and IL-23 play a crucial role in pathogenesis of IHD. |
