Summary:This study aims at studying the perception of customers towards organized retailing in India. We have attempted to conduct a study in Varanasi and tried to fathom the perception of the customers towards organized retailing in comparison to non-organized retailing. The Indian organized retail industry has emerged as the biggest and fastest-moving industry. In all likelihood, the retail industry is going to reach US $1 trillion marks by the beginning of 2021. Indian retail industry is also the biggest employment provider, next to the Indian Agriculture sector.
