Summary:In this paper, the improved extended modified tanh function method is applied to hierarchy of nonlinear partial evolution equation that model the propagation of a pulse in optical fibers with first-order dispersion ( M = 1 ). Bright, dark and singular soliton solutions are obtained. Also, periodic singular solutions and elliptic Weierstrass doubly periodic type solution are acquired. Graphs of some of the obtained results are presented.
