Description
Summary:This article substantiates incorrect usage of initially preset values of tensions and contraction of steel strip and peripheral rotation speed of rolls during rolling as a consequence of the automatic operation of adjustment system regarding thickness and tensions as a part of rolling mill automatics. It has been demonstrated that maintaining the actual tension of steel strip in interstand space upon rolling on continuous multistand mill is possible on provision of adjustment of strip contraction in rolls and peripheral rotation speeds of these rolls. Procedure is proposed for energy calculations of interconnected process parameters: strip contractions and tensions, as well as of peripheral rotation speeds of operating rolls. Verification of the proposed calculation procedure using the given tools of automatic recording of the parameters confirmed its confidence. Application of the developed algorithm will improve confidence of determination of both the parameters of rolling modes and the energy parameters.
