Summary: | The feedback mechanisms promoting the initiation and maintenance of pulsating combustion in a new type of engine are examined. The engines have a double bend gas duct, which creates a specific intrachamber vortex system, which allows them to operate at supersonic flight speeds. It is found that in these engines, pulsating combustion can be sustained by three types of feedback working separately and jointly. |
