Description
Summary:The article provides results of experimental studies conducted by the authors with various structural materials (steels, titanium alloys) after heat treatment in order to determine the effect of rapid processes in the phase transformation interval on structure and properties of both base metal and joint metal. A stagewise nature for rapidly occurring processes consisting of an initial phase, an active phase interaction stage, and a concluding repeated austenitizing stage with a typical increase in strength properties and with retention of ductility, are established.
