Evaluating Conditions and Possibilities for Neutron Catalysis of Thermonuclear Reactions in Three-Component (D–T–3He)-Plasma

The potential is analyzed to develop synergy between thermonuclear neutrons of three-component (D–T– 3 He)-plasma and neutrons obtained through fission in a subcritical blanket. Thermonuclear neutrons irradiating the subcritical blanket are capable of maintaining a stationary fission chain reaction...

Description
Summary:The potential is analyzed to develop synergy between thermonuclear neutrons of three-component (D–T– 3 He)-plasma and neutrons obtained through fission in a subcritical blanket. Thermonuclear neutrons irradiating the subcritical blanket are capable of maintaining a stationary fission chain reaction whereas the fission neutrons coming from the blanket to the plasma can enhance the tritium breeding through the 3 He(n,p)T reaction.
