Summary:We studied interactions between thenucl. caudatus and ventrolateral nucleus of the thalamus in cats. With the use of a retrograde axon transport technique, we demonstrated the existence of direct connections between these important motor centers. Using electrophysiological techniques allowed us to support this conclusion and detail the peculiarities of these connections.
