Analysis of Hydrodynamics in the Synthesis of Crystals from Water-Salt Solutions

The flow structure and mass transfer in crystallizers determine the level of salt supersaturation of the solution near the crystallization surface. Description
Summary:The flow structure and mass transfer in crystallizers determine the level of salt supersaturation of the solution near the crystallization surface. However, the experimental determination of such supersaturation is difficult. Therefore, it is important to develop adequate numerical models for studying the flow and mass transfer in real crystallizers. Simulation tools are used to study the effectiveness of fundamentally new experimental schemes of the process for the stable growth of PDP crystals.
