Thermophysical Properties of Fine-Grain MPG-7 Graphite with Chemical and Structural Heterogeneity

The thermal diffusivity of MPG-7 grade graphite samples with a density of 1802 to 1869 kg/m 3 was measured using the temperature wave method with chemical and structural heterogeneity in the temperature range from 600 to 1700 K. Based on the obtained results, the temperature dependences of the therm...

Description
Summary:The thermal diffusivity of MPG-7 grade graphite samples with a density of 1802 to 1869 kg/m 3 was measured using the temperature wave method with chemical and structural heterogeneity in the temperature range from 600 to 1700 K. Based on the obtained results, the temperature dependences of the thermal conductivity are calculated, which allow to estimate the thermal conductivity of MPG-7 graphite depending on the type of its defectiveness (chemical and structural heterogeneities). It is shown that the observed differences in the values of the thermal conductivity of MPG-7 graphite, depending on the type of its defectiveness, can be associated with the electron contribution to the overall process of energy transfer.
