Ti(OBu)4 in combination with Sn(Oct)2: An efficient catalyst system for high molecular weight poly(butylene succinate) synthesis
A new mild and efficient tin and titanium based catalyst combination have been explored for the synthesis of high molecular weight poly(butylene succinate). The new catalyst system is found to be more efficient and hydrolytically—as well as thermally—stable even at 250°C. Additionally, this new cata...

Summary: | A new mild and efficient tin and titanium based catalyst combination have been explored for the synthesis of high molecular weight poly(butylene succinate). The new catalyst system is found to be more efficient and hydrolytically—as well as thermally—stable even at 250°C. Additionally, this new catalyst system is capable of producing very high molecular weight poly(butylene succinate) polymer in good yield even at lower temperatures. |
