Description
Summary:An experimental study of integral and local pulsation processes in a swirling jet of superheated water has been carried out. The possibility of the occurrence of high-intensity low-frequency integral pulsations (1/f fluctuations) in a jet of boiling liquid under conditions of low superheating and boiling at single non-interacting centers has been shown. The precession of a spontaneously and forcedly swirling jet of boiling water has been revealed. The high correlation of integral and local pulsations has made it possible to relate high-intensity low-frequency integral pulsations in a jet with a 1/f power spectrum to the precession motion of the jet core.
