Summary: | Dynamics of a discharge in a constant quasi-homogeneous electric field initiated by a plasma filament created by a femtosecond laser pulse is studied experimentally. The time of development of the initiated discharge (the time delay of discharge onset relative to the laser pulse) is measured as a function of magnitude of the constant electric field in the plasma filament. The obtained experimental dependence is compared with the results of numerical simulations of the discharge in the filament. |
