Summary: | The research goal was to determine the form of shade from the Double Skin Facade that can reduce the exposure to sunlight without sacrificing the illumination level, especially in workspaces SOHO (Small Office Home Office) apartment, so that the standard of visual comfort can be achieved. The method of the research used Simulation with FormIt and Velux Daylight Visualizer 3 software. The steps were (1) to simulate the influence of local sun path on the irradiance level of the building surface to determine the form of the secondary skin, then (2) to simulate the influence of the opening and the angles of the secondary skin on the interior of the SOHO unit. The results show that the most optimal type of shading is vertical shading on the north, east, west side, with an angle of 15o, south side with an angle of 30o, and horizontal shading on the north, west, south, with an angle of 30o, east side with an angle of 60o, which can achieve the standard of visual comfort of 250 - 300 lux. |
