Description
Summary:Limited laboratory and not all the concepts of physics can be done in the laboratory make researchers use video as an experiment. This research was an quasi-experimental study with practical application of video-based laboratory in vibration and waves learning. This video-based laboratory consists of self-recorded videos and an application to investigate motion in videos, namely Tracker, which aims to increase learning achievement and students' ICT skills. The data were collected through learning achievement cognitive test and ICT skills test. The research samples are one of the VIII classes of Junior High School in Bandung Regency academic year 2020/2021. The results of this study showed that there was an increase in cognitive learning achievement of the students based on the average normalized gain, derived normalized gain is 0.44 with the medium criteria. In addition, there is also increasing ICT skills of the students based on the average normalized gain, derived normalized gain is 0.89. This shows that the implementation of Video-Based Laboratory can increase students’ learning achievement and ICT skills.
