Summary:The results of experimental investigations of coolant mixing in TVSA with pass-through type mixing grids are presented. The tracer method was used in characteristic areas inside the fuel assemblies – a field of standard cells, cells near a guide channel, and peripheral, and corner regions of the fuel assemblies as well as the gap between adjacent assemblies. The tracer concentration fields were determined for each characteristic area, which made it possible to evaluate the coolant mixing efficiency in them.
