Description
Summary:The approach developed earlier for describing the chains of conjugated enzymatic reactions of the photosynthesis process for the first time allowed the authors to propose a rigorous mathematical model of a nonrectangular hyperbola, which describes the dependence of the photosynthesis rate on light intensity ( I ), concentrations of CO 2 , and the interaction of these two factors. The fundamental parameters of this model are the light ( I K ) and carbon dioxide ( C K ) substrate constants as well as the curvature of the hyperbola (γ), pairing parameters ( r IP , r CP ), and the maximum rate of photosynthesis ( P m ). Special rectifying coordinates are proposed in which the entire family of hyperbolas has the form of a straight line. The main parameters can be found only when constructing experimental data in rectifying coordinates. The proposed model of a nonrectangular hyperbola is applicable both for describing the process of photosynthesis in algae and higher plants and for the absorption of vitamin B 12 algae and the dependence of the rate of food consumption by zooplankton and fish.
