Description
Summary:Control charts emerge as an important statistical process control tool that is crucial to enhance product quality. Current standards describe the construction of control charts for processes containing the normally distributed output. The two-parameter generalization of Rayleigh distribution was found in some technological cases, particularly for internal and external cylindrical surface diameters under definite locating and processing methods. This article explains the construction of Shewhart control charts for monitoring manufacturing tolerance and the customization level of production processes. The solution to this problem is based on the results of the studies on the process parameters, estimated in previous works by the authors of this article. The present article reveals the quantiles of the statistical distributions and other coefficients used for the construction of control charts. Meanwhile, it provides an example of the control charts construction. Furthermore, these results apply to production process monitoring and quality assurance along with the statistical methods developed for processes with a normal distribution and described in current standards.
