Description
Summary:Limlamai reflects on her experiences as a student and teacher who developed units focused on justice helped a teacher educator delineate three different kinds of justices. She explores enactments of three different kinds of justices via portraits of her own schooling (Lawrence-Lightfoot; Lawrence-Lightfoot and Davis): justices enacted on her as a student and those she enacted as a teacher. Between the snapshots, she offers a framework that differentiates between three different kinds of justices. In developing more nuanced understandings of different kinds of justices, she offers language and examples to make specific the kinds of justice they attempt to pursue. Her goal is to guide readers to more consistently enact the kinds of justices they want to by surfacing and interrogating decisions and describing which kinds of justices they are enacting.
