Summary: | Complete treatment of collisions in problems related to the development of plasma confinement systems is a problematic task. The article presents a specialized algorithm for the particle-in-cell method aimed to fast simulation of pairwise collisions without the use of trigonometric functions. The brief essence of the algorithm is that any two particles in a cell can interact (regardless of the direction of velocities and distance), which differs significantly from the algorithms used in solving the problems of gas dynamics. The developed algorithm is compared with other algorithms, including classical ones. |
