Description
Summary:Numerical simulations of the production of nitrogen oxide NO and dioxide NO 2 in the pulse-periodic regime in atmospheric pressure air were performed for four different time dependences of the energy deposition power. The time dynamics of the temperature in the center of the discharge gap and the absolute number of particles of nitrogen oxides NO and NO 2 were shown. It was found that the number of produced NO particles becomes stationary almost immediately after the end of the pulse while the number of NO 2 particles continues to increase monotonously. The results of this study can be in demand for the design of nitrogen oxide generators for medical applications.
