Description
Summary:Rotating stall suppression is an important means to improve the high-efficiency range of hydraulic machinery operation, including active suppression and passive suppression, and finding a cost-effective, practical and reliable passive suppression scheme is an urgent need in the current fluid machinery market. At present, due to the effectiveness and none additional energy input of passive suppression, it has gradually become the main research direction of hydraulic machinery stall suppression Therefore, in this paper, to explore a simple passive suppression method, the application prospect of blade thickness in stall suppression is investigated, and a mixed flow pump is selected as the research object based on the numerical methods. The research results show that the blade thickness is an important parameter affecting the "saddle area" of the mixed flow pump. When the blade is thickened by 1 mm, the deep stall operating point decreases by about 12.8%, and when the blade thickens by 2 mm, the deep stall operating point increases by 14.9%. Also, the "saddle area" of the mixed flow pump shifts to the low flow point and the stall interval decreases. From the perspective of fluid mechanism, the proper increase in blade thickness can slow down the secondary vortex phenomenon at the impeller outlet, increase the flow time of the fluid in the gap, and optimize the flow field in the gap. However, if the blade thickness is increased excessively, the suppression effect of rotating stall of blade thickness does not show a better result and even may deteriorate the local stall flow fields. Therefore, appropriately increasing the blade thickness can be used to suppress or delay the stall in the mixed flow pump, which has certain application prospects.
