Summary:Indonesia is one of the countries with many medicinal plants that can be used to raise poultry, such as garlic (Allium sativum) and Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza). This research aims to determine the effect of garlic and Temulawak meal addition as phytobiotics in broiler feed on feed consumption (FC), final body weight (FBW), feed conversion ratio (FCR), and feed economic values (FEV) of broiler. This research was conducted in the Deli Serdang regency of North Sumatra province. The experimental design used was a CRD with four treatments and five replications. The treatment given was in feed with K0 (control), K1 (0.5% garlic meal), K2 (2% Temulawak meal), and K3 (K1+K2). The result showed that the average value of FC was 3,341.68 g/head, FBW was 1,866.43 g/head, FCR was 1.78, and the FEV was 13,264.35 (IDR/Kg). The ANOVA results showed that the treatment had a very significant effect on all research parameters. The DMRT showed that the 0.5% garlic meal on feed (K1) treatment gave the highest of FC, FBW, and FEV, which was very significant but could produce the lowest very significant on FCR among the other treatments. It can be concluded that the provision of 0.5% garlic meal on the feed effectively increased the FC, FBW, and the most FEV and could reduce the FCR. In contrast, Temulawak meals tended to reduce broiler performance and feed economic values.
