Effect of Hydrophilic Changes in Base Pair Mismatches on Deamination of Cytosine Photo-crosslinked to 3-Cyanovinylcarbazole

In this study, to understand the effects of base-pair mismatch on the deamination of cytosine cross-linked with 3-cyanovinylcarbazole, the complementary base of the target cytosine was changed from guanine (G) to adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), 5-methylcytosine (mC), and uracil (U). Notably,...

Description
Summary:In this study, to understand the effects of base-pair mismatch on the deamination of cytosine cross-linked with 3-cyanovinylcarbazole, the complementary base of the target cytosine was changed from guanine (G) to adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), 5-methylcytosine (mC), and uracil (U). Notably, it was found that the fastest deamination of C to U occurs when C-C mismatching occurs.
