Description
Summary:Lead acetate doped resin has been proposed as an alternative material to lead glass which serves as radiation protection equipment. The confirmed composition of resin and lead acetate mixture is 50 : 50 which is able to absorb X-Ray radiation up to 100%. The optical characterization plays an important role in the use of lead glass. UV-Visible Spectrophotometry test produces absorbance, reflectance and transmittance parameters. In the UV-Visible Spectrophotometry test at visible light wavelengths of 400-700 nm with the absorbance parameter shows a sample didn’t have pick value, the transmittance parameter shows an average pick value above 50%, while the reflectance parameter also doesn’t has a pick value in visible light wavelength. The Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIR) test of the sample and in a pick value of %T of 9.35.
