Summary:Objective: Stress is known as a major cause of sleep bruxism. This disorder is characterised by repeated contraction of the masticatory muscles and requires multidisciplinary treatment. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between sleep bruxism and three elements, namely alexithymia, coping with stress and anxiety on women. Materials and Methods: One hundred female participants were examined in the study. All respondents completed a stress coping questionnaire, State-trait Anxiety inventory (STAI) and Toronto-alexithymia-scale (TAS-20).
