Summary: | In this paper, an investigation on human body tibia bone of three siblings (male, female and a child) is presented. The age of the male, female and a child are 23, 21 and 12 years old. The work was carried out to know the tibia bone behavior through 3D modeling. The 3D model of tibia bone was created from CT scan data and DICOM images. Finite element analysis is used to study the deformation, von-Mises stress and factor of safety upon applying the static load. The observation from this investigation may be helpful to orthopedic surgeons to analyze the load bearing capacity of the tibia bone of a male, female and child of a single family. |
