Description
Summary:The article presents computational researches of the working process of a two-stroke engine. The engine uses pistons modified with catalytic materials. Calculated indicator diagrams are presented in this article. It showed changes in the working process. The effect of catalytic materials on the gas exchange process and the processes occurring on the compression-expansion cycles is shown, according to the calculation models of Wiebe and Kolchin-Demidov, taking into account the modification of these models, according to the Galyshev method. Chromatography showed that the reduction of CO emissions in the idle mode when using MnCuOx catalyst was 52%, while in the under-load mode it was only 13%.
