Summary: | The article compares two methods of non-destructive testing of the diffusion coefficient in thin products made of porous materials in terms of their metrological characteristics. The methods are based on different approaches, and they allow for prompt determination of the required coefficient in the absence of a real static characteristic of the applied diffusant concentration transducer. This provides a significant increase in the efficiency of studies. The first method is tightly bound to the need to register the time of maximum concentration after a pulse action with a dose of diffusant. The second method is based on recording the time at which two arbitrarily chosen identical values of the transducer output characteristic are achieved after a pulse is applied. The article presents findings of the study in determining the error of the required coefficient under comparable conditions for the two methods. |
