Twin Electron Beam Surfacing Using Vertical Ti–6Al–4V Wire
The vertical supply of Ti–6Al–4V titanium alloy wire and its melting by two opposed electron beams are considered. Metallographic and mechanical analysis of the 3D-printed alloy shows that its mechanical properties meet the standard for forgings.
