Influence of Shaping Trajectory on the Surface Roughness in Milling: Vibroacoustic Monitoring

Design principles are developed for online monitoring and vibroacoustic diagnostics in milling complex surfaces. The vibroacoustic signal is very sensitive when the mill’s cutting edges pass through the machining zone. The influence of the mill trajectory on the surface roughness is assessed.
