Summary:We present our innovative and futuristic VAWT which has been made to improve the production of power and less dangerous due to the safety measures and mechanism established in the turbine. The VAWT has a new blade design compared to other VAWT, one such is that our turbine blades designed to have a larger scoop area to catch high volume of winds. Our model consist of three to four sets of turbine blades which are assembled in such a way that has a difference of 60 degree from the preceding or successive set. Therefore it looks like “DNA helix” while rotating. The wind turbine can generate high power in higher to turbulent wind speed ranges due to the enlarged scoop section, and second factor for this possibility is due to the furling mechanism designed and established between the blades which helps to reduce the surface area of the blades. Therefore when the RPM exceeds certain limit furling mechanism activates.
