Description
Summary:The current economic crises, pandemics, military conflicts, natural disasters remind us that we are all equally vulnerable, that safety and comfort are not guaranteed to any country. We consider universities and research institutions to be responsible for sustainable development on a global scale. So it is important to collaborate and use our common voice in order to cope with global issues. The best way to contribute to the solution of global issues is to take actions toward the internationalization of higher education and research. World higher education entered a new state and it gradually became massive. Knowledge-oriented economy gave rise to the growing role of universities and research institutions. The OECD data give evidence that demand for university education is increasing geometrically and instead of the current 99 million students there will be approximately 414 million in 2030 (OECD, 2019). In addition, in the sector of higher education, a number of international students on a global scale is increasing. The professional with highest competence is the product of the international higher education.
