description Comparative analysis of the current state of Kamennoye Lake’s biological water resources was performed. The lake is not affected by human economic activities. The results of our study have shown a considerable similarity in the qualitative and quantitative indices of hydrobiocenoses over the past 50 years. Differences in abundance and biomass are within natural annual variations in zooplankton and benthos indices. Fish fauna consists of 13 species dominated by perch, whitefish, vendace, and pike. Fish species of senior age groups are abundant in the fish population structure. The Kamennoye Lake ecosystem generally maintains its natural state and is close to undisturbed natural ecosystems.
