Summary:Problems of ensuring ornithological safety of airports and power transmission lines are discussed. A short review of methods of protection against birds is given and factors influencing the efficiency of bird deterrence are discussed with emphasis on acoustic bird scaring. On the example of the Tomsk airport, the use of bioacoustic bird scarers of directional action equipped with a system of technical vision is considered. Problems in the development of effective ornithological bird scaring means with application of artificial intelligence elements for bird detection, recognition of their species, and emission of proper acting radiation are formulated.
