Description
Summary:The main aim of this paper is studying the effect of cooling mechanism consisting of active water and spiral aluminum porous media on the thermal and electrical performances of photovoltaic panel to get the peak power produced. Firstly, two identical panels had been set up. Then modelling for the system had been done using NARX based on MSE. The MSE result was 0.2255 when Nn equals 7 and Nd equals 3. After that, PID Cuckoo Search intelligent controller had been added to the system to accustom PID controller parameters (KP, KI and KD) based on MSE. the controller was effective and showed excellent ability to control the system. Finally, the cooling mechanismattached to the backside of one of them. Three water flow rates had been used (3L/min, 4L/min and 5L/min). The results indicated that the system recorded a positive response to the cooling system with the three water flow rates, however the best water flow rate is 4L/min where the peak temperature deference between the uncooled and cooled panel reached 19.625 ˚ C and the power produced had been increased from 47.439 W in the uncooled panel to 63.688 W.
