Summary:Using the InCites database, a comparative analysis was conducted on the scientific papers of food science discipline for Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences between 2000 and 2016 with the top 10 domestic research institutions. Results showed that comprehensive scientific research strength of food science discipline for Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences maintained rapid growth with the overall strength as NO. 6, but academic influence and innovation ability were relatively weak, several comparative indexes were low-ranking. Such suggests were proposed that the overall strength and competitiveness of food science discipline should be enhanced comprehensively by optimizing the system and mechanism, integrating research strength, improving creative talents, cultivating big platform.
