Description
Summary:Nanoemulsions are tiny particles which are assessed for the delivery system freely and suitably by the patients through oral and nasal pathways, as the range matters in nanometers it can be easily administered into the system for better bioavailability of the medicaments. Nanoemulsions are suitable for carrying lipophilic and hydrophobic drugs. This review discusses about the nanoemulsion basics and major benefits and drawbacks. The major part in the preparation of nanoemulsion is selection of oil phase, ratio of surfactant and co surfactants for various bioactive compounds. We also discussed the steps for selecting the oils, emulsifiers and also advantages and disadvantages of methods of preparation of nanoemulsion along with the overview on patents.
