Description
Summary:In this paper, three static tests were carried out on Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer material (CFRP)-metal joints with single bolted connections. The effects of fastener diameter, fastener material, fastener clamping force, fixture, and fatigue on the flexibility of the joint were investigated. The reasonableness of secant and tangential flexibility was compared and discussed based on the load-displacement curve of the joints. The test results indicated that the fixture reduced the out-of-plane buckling of the structure and increased the flexibility of the joint. The joint became stiffer after the fatigue cycles. At the same time, the flexibility was strongly affected by the fastener diameter and materials. The clamping force had a slight effect on the flexibility.
