Summary: | The features of deformed microstructure and fracture of 12% chromium ferritic-martensitic steel EP-823 tensile specimens subjected to long-term (1000 h) aging at 580 °С are investigated by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. It is shown that they are determined by the tensile test temperature (20 or 700 °C). The high tensile temperature promotes the process of recovery and dynamic strain aging in the ferritic-martensitic structure. The steel ruptures by the mechanism of ductile dimple transcrystalline fracture at all temperatures. |
