Summary: | This article presents results of a study for development of optimum compositions and properties of a refractory mass based on quartzite, quartz sand, and a kaolin binder. Areas for existence of optimum compositions of dinas ramming masses in a ternary diagram of the initial components are determined. It is established that the best production and thermomechanical properties are exhibited by test specimens fired at 1400°C with partial replacement of quartzite with quartz sand or kaolin (up to 25 wt.% of each component). |
