Summary: | This study aims to examine and describe basic numeracy literacy skills through the use of puzzle media for early childhood in TK. KB Kumala Wonomulyo. The approach used in this study is a qualitative research design with Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were 30 children. Data was collected using observation guidelines and an assessment rubric in the form of tests. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The basic literacy and numeracy abilities of students before the action was taken obtained an average score of 63.46 and 60.47, respectively, in the sufficient category. The use of media, both number puzzles and letter puzzles, can be seen in the students’ learning mastery. In the first cycle, the percentage of learning completeness is 46.67% with the criteria of Undeveloped (BB), while in the second cycle of learning completeness is 90% with the criteria of Developing According to Expectations (BSH) with an average basic literacy and numeracy ability of 89 and 88 with good criteria. So, it can be concluded that the impact of using the letter and number puzzle playing method makes it easier for students to recognize letters and numbers and increases students’ enthusiasm for learning. |
