Summary: | An algorithm is presented for calculating the effect of adsorption on the phase behavior of hydrocarbons. The method is based on the Simplified Local Density theory, the Peng-Robinson equation of state, and the equilibrium conditions for a multicomponent fluid taking into account interaction with pore walls, followed by the use of current bulk (free) fluid composition in phase behavior calculations for given thermobaric conditions. Based on the calculation procedure, phase behavior was simulated for a near-critical gas-condensate mixture under pressure depletion considering the adsorption of components. The possibility was assessed of matching hydrocarbon composition between fluid samples and core extracts by accounting for adsorption with the SLD model. The influence of adsorption on the dynamics of phase compositions and dew point was shown. |
