Description
Summary:A method of removing heavy metal ions from wastewater during treatment using biosorption by bacteria of activated sludge is considered. The relevance of this method lies in the possibility of biosorbent regeneration, prevention of contact of heavy metal ions with the activated sludge of the biological treatment stage, solution of the problem of utilization of surplus activated sludge. A mathematical model describing the biosorption process is proposed based on the Langmuir and Freundlich equations. The mathematical model will allow calculating the technological parameters of the treatment devices.
