Description
Summary:[...]the purpose of the systematic review was to determine propensities of effective therapeutic exercises that optimize RTP time for male athletes with chronic groin pain. Inclusion criteria consisted of (1) having chronic groin pain, (2) prescribing therapeutic exercises in rehabilitation, (3) using a prospective study design, and (4) reporting precise RTP time. Training so-called “core” trunk muscles such as internal oblique and transverse abdominis, which originate from the thorax and insert groin region including public bone, may ameliorate pelvic stability. Since an association between pelvic instability and groin pain was evidenced, improving pelvic stability by training trunk muscles along with intersegmental control exercises may contribute early RTP.
